Club Sando Youth Cricket Team Announces Inaugural Barbados Tour 2025
The Club Sando Youth Cricket Team was established in 2025, comprising primarily players from the Premier 2 Reserve team, along with select invitational players. This initiative aims to provide young athletes with opportunities for continuous development—both in cricketing and non-cricketing aspects—fostering holistic player development and club growth.
A key milestone in this journey is the inaugural Club Sando Youth Cricket Tour 2025, set to take place in Barbados this July. This tour is designed to offer players a professionally structured cricketing experience, encompassing competitive matches, specialized training, historical and educational tours, holistic development, and team-building activities.
The legacy of Club Sando Cricket is built upon the talent and experience of its senior players, and our youth continue to be inspired by the club’s high-performing A team, which has dominated the 2025 season across all formats. This tour presents a unique opportunity for our young players to gain exposure, test their skills, and grow both on and off the field.

RESERVE TEAM PERFORMANCES
The Club Sando Reserve Team has enjoyed a remarkable 2025 season, securing victories in every match. Many of these standout players will be part of the upcoming Barbados tour. The team’s fast bowlers, batters, and spinners have worked seamlessly together, overpowering opponents through strategic captaincy and strong team management. Their dominant performances and outright wins have fostered team cohesion, setting the stage for continued success in the remaining fixtures.
CLUB SANDO RESERVE & YOUTH TEAMS LIMITED OVERS TOURNAMENTS
The reserve team will begin their 50 Overs competition in May. This will significantly boost the teams confidence in preparation for the Barbados tour. The strategic and tactical nature of limited overs cricket demands each player to be continuously aware and personally motivated to dominate every ball. Whether batting, bowling or fielding, all players have to take responsibility for the team’s performance in each game. Barbados has set a high standard for youth cricket and the Clun Sando Youth Team will be equal to the task at hand. The management and coaching team will ensure all aspects of the game of cricket is instituted into each player for a holistic enjoyable experience. The local competition is not to be taken lightly, since most team have included experienced players. Our youthful team strive on passion, camaraderie and personal motivation to improve. All the best to our reserve team and youth touring team over the next 3 months.
PLAYER PATHWAY
The formation of Club Sando’s youth team began in 2024, with the club initially fielding a reserve team in its first year. This strategic decision allowed the management to focus on succession planning and establish a clear player pathway. The system provided young talents with the platform to showcase their abilities and, through strong performances, earn consideration for the senior A team.
This approach has proven highly successful, with five reserve team players earning selection in the 15-man A team squad for the 2025 season. The opportunity to train alongside senior players has been invaluable, allowing these young cricketers to gain firsthand experience of the highest level of club cricket in Trinidad & Tobago. By integrating youth into the senior environment, Club Sando has reinforced its commitment to long-term player development and sustained success.
