The safety of our personnel is of primary importance in the delivery of services within our company and to our customers. We are committed to providing safe facilities and equipment in achieving these objectives.

Our aspiration in meeting our responsibilities to our employees, contractors, customers and the public is of key focus and will fulfill the necessary legal requirements as outlined in the Occupational Safety and Health Act 2004 and the Occupational Safety and Health (Amendment) Act, 2006.

It is our commitment:

Novel Sports Limited acknowledges the duty of care to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and is committed to ensuring safeguarding practice reflects statutory responsibilities, government guidance and complies with best practice.

The policy recognises that the welfare and interests of children are paramount in all circumstances. It aims to ensure that regardless of age, gender, religion or beliefs, ethnicity, disability or socio-economic background, all children :

  • Have a positive and enjoyable experience of sport at Novel Sports Limited  in a safe and child centred environment
  • Are protected from abuse whilst participating in [the activity provided by the organisation or outside of the activity.
  • Novel Sports Limited acknowledges that some children, including disabled children and young people or those from ethnic minority communities, can be particularly vulnerable to abuse and we accept the responsibility to take reasonable and appropriate steps to ensure their welfare.

As part of our safeguarding policy Novel Sports Limited will

  • Promote and prioritise the safety and well-being of children and young people
  • Ensure everyone understands their roles and responsibilities in respect of safeguarding
  • Provided with appropriate learning opportunities to recognize, identify and respond to signs of abuse, neglect and other safeguarding concerns relating to children and young people
  • Ensure appropriate action is taken in the event of incidents/concerns of abuse and support provided to the individual/s who raise or disclose the concern
  • Prevent the employment/deployment of unsuitable individuals
  • Ensure robust safeguarding arrangements and procedures are in operation.
  • The policy and procedures will be widely promoted and are mandatory for everyone involved at Novel Sports Limited. Failure to comply with the policy and procedures will be addressed without delay and may ultimately result in dismissal/exclusion from Novel Sports Limited.

  • NSL is committed to ensure that the risk of exposure and spread of COVID-19 is minimized at our indoor sports and gym facility by providing a safe environment for all clients, employees, users and stakeholders

  • NSL will ensure that all users of the facility are trained in or informed about our policies and procedures for COVID 19 safety.
  • Our policies and procedures will be shared and readily viewed on our website and social media platforms. Copies will be located at our office at the facility.
  • NSL has provided proper signage upon entry at the facility to be followed by all users. These signs provide requirements for wearing face masks, handwashing, social distancing, cough etiquette, hand sanitisation and disposal of cleaning material. These signs must be adhered to all all times.
  • NSL has established a housekeeping schedule and procedure to ensure that all high- touch or high traffic areas are sanitised before and after use, including during operation.
  • NSL has established scheduling requirement that allows for proper social distancing and sanitisation between sessions. All clients must pre-book. No walk -ins will be facilitated.
  • All users of the facility will be required to log and out and provide contact details (this will be kept in strict confidence).
  • NSL will refuse entry to any user who have pre-existing immune or pulmonary medical conditions or is ill, especially exhibiting signs of possible infection (fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, muscle pain, headache, sore-throat, recent loss of taste or smell).
  • Any user who becomes ill during a session must inform the instructor immediately. The ill person will be isolated in sick bay and arrangements made for their safe transport out of the facility (to home or doctor as pre-arranged).
  • Clients are required to walk with their own personal cleaning material which must not be shared between patrons. Only bottles water and drinks will be allowed in the facility.
